What is Bhaav?

Bhaav is a voice translation keyboard for Android. Speak in your own language and it writes your message in the other person's language, right inside the chat app you're using.

Does Bhaav work with WhatsApp?

Yes. Bhaav is a keyboard, so it works in WhatsApp, Telegram, Instagram, SMS, LINE and any other app where you can type.

Can I speak Hindi or Hinglish and send it in English?

Yes. Speak Hindi or Hinglish the way you normally talk, and Bhaav sends it in natural English, or in Thai, Spanish, Japanese and more. You can also send Hindi in English letters.

Which phones does Bhaav work on?

Android phones running Android 9 or newer. There's no iPhone version yet; it's on our list.

Is Bhaav free?

Yes. Bhaav is free, with no ads.

Can I download Bhaav now?

Not yet for everyone. Bhaav is in closed testing and coming soon to Google Play. Leave your email on this page and we'll tell you the day it's out.

Do I have to stop using my usual keyboard?

No. Bhaav sits next to it. Switch to Bhaav when you want to speak, and it hands you back to your keyboard after you send.

Which languages can I use?

English, Hindi (including Hinglish), Thai, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Indonesian, Japanese and Arabic, in any direction.

What happens to my voice?

It's sent securely only after you stop speaking, turned into text and translated, then sent back to your phone. Our server keeps none of it. The privacy policy has the details.
